WinUpgradeMate: Upgrade the Old PC to Windows 11 from Windows 10 without Data Loss (Keep Personal Files and Apps)
Windows 10 will end of support after October 14, 2025. It is dangerous to run Windows 10 as no security and feature updates. So, it is time to upgrade the old PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
With the help of SysCute WinUpgradeMate, you can upgrade any Windows 10 PC to Windows 11 without data loss. All personal files, apps and settings are untouched after upgrade.
In our example, we are going to upgrade a 14-year-old ThinkPad T440 laptop from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. In fact, this computer is not supported by Windows 11 because the processor is too old and it does not have TPM 2.0.

Method 1: Upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 with Quick Setup Method
The Quick Setup Method is the best feature to install Windows 11 on an unsupported hardware. It will run the product server command to bypass Windows 11 system checks.
Step 1 Download and Install WinUpgradeMate
First of all, download and install WinUpgradeMate on your PC.
Step 2 Download Windows 11 ISO File from Microsoft
You can download the official Windows 11 ISO file from Microsoft's website.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
- Scroll down to "Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)"
- Select Windows 11 version and product language
- Hit Confirm, then download the 64-bit ISO
Step 3 Import Windows 11 ISO into the App
Open the WinUpgradeMate app on your computer and click the Browse button to add the Windows 11 ISO image into the app.

Step 4 Choose the Quick Setup Method
Select the Quick Setup Method from the user interface and click the Start Upgrade button at the bottom. This will open the Windows Server installation wizard.
Don't worry. This will still install a normal copy of Windows 11, such as Windows 11 Home or Pro.

Step 5 Start Upgrading to Windows 11
Please accept the license terms and at this time, the computer will download updates.

Once it is done, you can choose the options to keep personal files and apps.

Windows 11 will be installed since then. The computer will reboot several times.
Finally, you need to finish the setup, such as choosing language, keyboard and set a password. When all is done, the computer will boot into Windows 11 desktop.
Method 2: Upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 with Standard Setup Method
If the above method did not work, then you can use this alternative method to bypass Windows 11 system checks by adding a couple of registry entries.
Step 1 Import Windows 11 ISO and Choose the Standard Setup Method
Open the WinUpgradeMate app on your computer and click the Browse button to add the Windows 11 ISO image into the app.
Select the Standard Setup Method from the user interface. This will add a few registry entries to the computer, which tells the Windows 11 installation wizard not checking the system requirements.

Step 2 Confirm the Operation
A pop-up window appears when you click the Start Upgrade button. Please click the Continue button to confirm the operation. This will add a few entries in Registry to skip Windows 11 system check.

Step 3 Start Upgrading to Windows 11
Once it is done, the Windows 11 setup program will be opened and you can follow the instructions to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware.

You need to agree the license and terms. After that, the setup will download and install the necessary updates. This will take a couple of minutes.

Once it is done, choose the option to keep personal files and apps.

The Windows 11 setup will get all the necessary information, such as the hardware specs, apps and pending updates. Please wait a few minutes and you will be present with the the upgrade option before the upgrade gets started.

Click the Install button to start upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 without data loss.

If your PC doesn't meet Windows 11 official requirements, WinUpgradeMate is the ultimate solution to break free from Microsoft's hardware restrictions. Whether you're reviving an older machine or testing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, this tool gets the job done effortlessly.
